Fostering Sustainability Education in Higher Education: Insights from the Online Course SE101
Universities are expected to embed sustainability in their teaching, yet many instructors lack workable concepts and design tools. A new article in the Zeitschrift für Hochschulentwicklung presents the eight-hour online course Sustainability Education 101 and analyzes 21 course submissions from Regensburg and St.Gallen. The findings show which course elements instructors found supportive, where institutional limits lie, and what a short academic development format can and cannot achieve.

Bei den «Tagen des Schreckens II» im Literaturhotel Sonnenburg in Oberlech am Arlberg stand Cormac McCarthys Roman _The Road_ im Zentrum eines Abendvortrags von Streitberger, Schulz und Siegel. Literarische Analyse, Befunde der Erdsystemforschung und eine bildungstheoretische Perspektive griffen ineinander: Warum sind postapokalyptische Erzählungen kulturell so erfolgreich, und welche Haltungen tragen, wenn Zielmarken reissen? Ein Abend darüber, wie produktiv ästhetisch-affektives Lernen an unbequemen Stoffen wird.
